European pallet association has participated in the 3rd TransportLogistic in Shanghai from 17th to 19th.June 2008, which was organized by Messe Muenchen GmbH.
Visitors were very interested in pallets, standardization of packaging material and especially in the EPAL pallet exchange system.
Worldwide the EPAL pallet pool is the biggest "open" pallet pool. 5 pallet manufacturers in Shanghai and Guangdong have the EPAL licence.
Right now only these 5 manufacturers can offer the original EPAL pallet in China.
In 2007 the researches from Chinese National Bureau of Statistics of China indicate that the total of China import and export value has reached 2.1738 trillion US dollars and the demand of transport and logistics are expanding dramatically.
