Also this year, the Gütegemeinschaft Paletten (GPAL) e.V., Münster, and the Bundesverband Holzpackmittel, Paletten, Exportverpackung (HPE) e.V., Bonn, have shared a booth at the FACHPACK fair in Nuremberg. Thereby the HPE has focussed on the subjects of the raw material wood, its price development as well as the presentation of the new HPE regulations on packaging which present the first overall standard in the range of wood packaging.  Furthermore the HPE has informed about the current developments in the range of wood packaging and pallets as well as the services of export packers. The Gütegemeinschaft Paletten/European Pallet Association (EPAL) has informed about the current situation of the Europalletpool, the development of the pallet exchange within Europe and the expansion of the EPAL system to Asia and Northern America. In particular the concepts for the new pallet types in line with an exchange pool system monitored by the umbrella organisation EPAL have been presented.
